Flash Brush Tool (B)

5 brush modes

1. Paint normal-paints over any area on the stage
2. Paint Fills – paint fill areas but not strokes
3. Paint behind – paint around simple shapes on the stage, but not over them, giving the appearance of painting behind a shape
4. Paint selection- paints only inside filled areas that are selected
5. Paint inside- allows you to begin a brush stroke inside a filled area and there after paint only within that area

Brush Size- lets you set the size of the brush stroke

Brush Shape- Lets you set the shape of your brush

Lock Fill- Allows you to control how Flash paints areas with gradients

Creating shapes using the Brush tool

You can create shapes that look like they’ve been painted or drawn with a marking pen.

• select Brush tool from toolbar
• in fill panel choose fill type
• OR click the fill color control on toolbar
• click and drag to draw

Flash Eraser Tool (Hotkey E)

Flash Eraser Modes:

1. Erase Normal - erase lines and fills
2. Erase Fills – erases only fills
3. Erase Lines – erases only lines
4. Erase Selected – erases only currently selected fills, not lines
5. Erase Inside – lets you begin erasing inside a filled area

Faucet – allows you to erase line or fill by just clicking somewhere on the line

Eraser Shape – configures the shape of your eraser

Erasing in Flash:

Flash Erasing allows you to remove portions of shapes or lines with precision. You can change the size and shape of the eraser as well as the portions of any shape you want to erase by adjusting the options accordingly

By selecting the faucet you can erase an entire line or shape by clicking on it
